Anyone who wishes to buy a motorcycle can choose from several product categories.

The F series have 800cc capacity, parallel-twin engines and they use either a chain or a belt drive.

The G series have a smaller cylinder capacity ranging from 450 to 650 cc. They have a single cylinder and they feature a chain drive. The 450cc models are manufactured in Taiwan while the 650 cc engines are produced in China.

There are two models available in the R series: R1200GS, R1200T. They all have 1200 cc capacity, twin cylinders and a shaft drive.

The BMW motorcycles in the K series have four engines and a cylinder capacity of 1200-1300cc. These too are large models, and you can choose between K1200LT, K1200R, K1300GT, K1300S and K1300R.

And finally the S series includes the popular sports bikes with an inline-four engine and a 999cc capacity.

It is important to see more models and get some drive tests before purchasing any type of bike. Choose those BMW motorcycles that best correspond to your riding style, your purpose, preference and individuality. You can get consultancy and technical information in any its dealer shop, or online.

Then, the price varies according to the category, the cylinder capacity and the overall technical design. The 450 and 650 cc BMW motorcycles are the cheapest, but the lower price is also justified by the fact that these models have lower manufacturing costs.

The automaker also hasn’t detailed North American-specification Aveos yet, but it did say that European models receive electronic power steering, stability control and ABS all as standard equipment. Several four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines will be offered over the pond, starting with two 1.2-liter variants (70 and 86 horsepower), a 1.4-liter (100 horsepower) and a 1.6-liter (115 horsepower). Two 1.3-liter diesels (75 and 95 horsepower) will be equipped with fuel-saving start/stop technology.

While the car will continue to be called Aveo in other parts of the world, the Sonic name will be carried out in Canada, Mexico and the United States. It will be sold in more than 50 countries. GM will kick off production of the Sonic in 2011 at GM’s Orion Assembly Center in Michigan, which received a $545-million investment in upgrades and retooling, and will restore approximately 1,000 jobs in the metropolitan Detroit area.

2010, however, sees the first of the S1000RR to hit the dealerships - a development in the company that even the project leader, Stefan Zeit, hadn't anticipated when he suggested a BMW sport bike when he first took up the job and was subsequently assured that BMW would never produce one. The fact that the model looks to be the most powerful 1000cc bike on the market has got more than a few heads turned - and a few deposits already laid down too.

So what else does the S1000RR have to offer? Aside from being incredibly powerful, the model also boasts the best power-to-weight ratio available at 183 kg (400 lb) dry and 204 kg (450 lb) wet. There are also many electronic perks such as a ride-by-wire throttle and variable-length intake tracts - as well as optional extras including ABS and traction control. The model has also been noted for its digitally selected sport modes, rain, sport (up to 190 break horsepower), race and slick (for taking onto the track).

Adjustable suspension and ride height also makes each bike easily changeable for each individual rider - and its simplicity is commendable. The model has already entered into the market in high regard, and it seems unlikely that this bike will not remain at the top for some time.

However, there are two things to note. First, the Insight is easily tossed around in the wind. Second, it uses regenerative braking, which means that it harnesses the energy produced when the car brakes and uses it to recharge the battery. Fortunately, the braking system doesn’t interfere with the car’s performance like it does in some hybrids.

This elongated Mini Cooper actually has usable rear seats, and there’s a half-door on the passenger’s side to ease ingress and egress to the back. Despite its length, the Clubman maintains all the fun and cuteness of the smaller Mini. Base engine is underpowered; go for the turbo.
